The Rural Schools Partnership’s Placeworks art program is now taking applications for the next round of place-based, cross-curricular art-centric learning.
Taught by Springfield artist Kate Baird and made possible by the RSP (though the Community Foundation of the Ozarks), Conco Companies and the Ed and Virginia Heer Family Foundation Fund, Placeworks is an arts outreach program that promotes learning through visual explorations. Through one-, three- or six-session programs, students work in the visual arts to explicitly support learning in another curricular area like language arts, social studies, science or math.
